My name is Alessia Semenzin.

I’m the Creative Director and Brand Designer behind DAMNE BRANDS.
I build premium brands that challenge what everyone else is doing.

What I Believe

A premium brand doesn’t have to be boring or stuck up. And it definitely doesn’t have to flatten your personality and attitude (in fact, great branding should do the opposite). My work proves that high-end branding can feel personal, be bold af and commercially smart at the same time.

When you hire me, you get a brand that is premium without being boring and bold without being reckless. The kind that stands out because it’s not here to please, but to provoke (in all the right ways).

About the studio

DAMNE BRANDS™ is a creative direction and branding studio based in Italy, working with clients worldwide. In a world where beige luxury and stale “old money” brand aesthetics (that all look the exact same) became the norm, I created DAMNE for brands that crave glamour, spice, flavour, provocation. For The Vivienne Westwoods in a world of Ralph Laurens. The ones who refuse to play it safe and don’t want to choose between their brand feeling premium and, at the same time, like a bad idea their clients can’t quit.

I do what you could call branding with damn(e) attitude. Branding that’s rich, audacious, sensorial, rooted in culture, media & art history (not cookie-cutter “elevated” minimalism meant to erase identity & uniqueness). Because every time I look around, I ask myself: when did branding that’s saying absolutely nothing become synonymous with “premium”? As if the more dry, tame and anonymous it is, the more “eLeVaTeD.” The more “sophisticated”. The underlying message is: non-expression, aka the absence of color, shape, texture, attitude, personality is the “more desirable” choice. And I think that’s reallllly fucked up. I’m here to turn the volume back up and make brands feel alive again.

I believe that we need art, history, color, texture, culture, flavour to thrive as humans. And for our businesses, we need branding that’s rich, flavourful, opinionated and rooted in culture and art, not cookie cutter ~elevated minimalism~ designed to make us all lowkey look the same and stand for nothing with a side of nothing (you think that’s a coincidence…?).

Somewhere along the line, someone convinced us that this is the price we have to pay in order to look “expensive”. And that’s what DAMNE BRANDS™ is here to change. Just because it’s premium, doesn’t mean it has to be boring.

(aka the mandatory “trust me I’ve been doing this for a decade” part 😉)

2012: The Fancy Photography Era

I started my first business as a women’s portrait photographer. My style was already rich, creative, bold and very editorial inspired, which was definitely… A LOT for small town Germany (lol). I really loved the “makeover” aspect and planning the photoshoots around specific concepts (sound familiar?)

2015: The “Graphic Design Is My Passion” Era

While learning about marketing, I also started teaching myself graphic & web design and designed my very first logos, as well as my own website. (To be completely honest, I’ve been messing around with html and Photoshop since the Ancient MySpace era, but that’s a story for another time)…

2017: The “Agency Jack of All Trades” Era

I started working as a Web Designer and Art Director at a design agency specialized in the beauty industry. I did pretty much everything, from print and packaging, to logos and web design. Something I noticed: a strong focus on “designing something pretty”, with no upfront strategic work whatsoever. #tragic

2023: The “Now I Do WTF I Want (pls no more glitter)” Era

I left the agency and decided to go international with my already existing design business. By this point, after years of “pretty design” with little strategy, I was ready to serve those who were looking for the opposite: edge, attitude and depth. Around this time, I also decided to focus exclusively on branding.

2025: The DAMNE Era

After transforming the brands of dozens of clients across 10+ countries, in 2025 I decided to focus even more on the attitude and boldness aspects of my work. That’s when DAMNE BRANDS was born, with the goal of serving businesses looking for something very specific: edgy, “zero fucks given” premium branding that’s also 100% tailored to them and rooted in strategy, not Pinterest aesthetics.

I’m the designer you hire after asking your last designer for premium and getting a watered down, family friendly, stuck up version of your brand that lowkey looks like at least 5 of your competitors.

The DAMNE Method

STRATEGY ROOTED

Your branding isn’t built on a generic Pinterest moodboard. It’s rooted in the intersection of your unique personality, your market and your goals. This is your your own flavour of premium. Every DAMNE brand lives inside this balance: the pull between bold self-expression and commercial clarity, between what makes a statement and what sells. The result is a brand that gets your client’s attention instantly, feels like you and looks like nothing else in your market.

THE CONCEPT METHOD

Most brands fall flat because they skip the concept. I create the world your brand lives in by building the concept first: the visual and emotional universe that holds your brand together and makes your visuals cohesive, recognizable, impossible to confuse. It’s what ensures your logo, photoshoots and content all speak the same language and actually connect with your audience.

MULTI DISCIPLINE EXPERTISE

When I design your brand, I draw inspiration and context from art and design history, pop culture, advertising and media. That means culturally fluent visuals that use the same language and cultural cues your clients is already immersed in, so the brand lands instantly with them. My background in photography makes me an expert in brand imagery, from art direction to styling to post-production. The result is layered and cohesive branding that grabs attention now, yet taps into timeless cultural cues your audience already understands.

GOAL DRIVEN BRAND ECOSYSTEM

I don’t “redesign your Instagram feed.” I look at your brand as a full system, built around where you’re taking your business and how your clients experience it. That means producing deliverables you’ll actually need in the medium and long term (from social to print to packaging), so every touchpoint works together. My goal is to design a brand that’s not just attractive today, but built to grow with you, guide your clients and create a cohesive experience at every stage of their journey.

CULTURE MEETS TECHNOLOGY

I use AI to create custom brand imagery, but it’s my background as a photographer and retoucher that makes it unmatched. I know how to guide and curate outputs so they carry the same depth and detail as a professionally directed shoot. That means your brand gets imagery that feels editorial, cohesive and specific to you (not generic, not stolen from Pinterest and not something your competitors can easily replicate).

IMPLEMENTATION ORIENTED APPROACH

Every single element in your brand visuals is built with implementation in mind. Your brand visuals are designed to be actually used in your business, which is why I provide you with realistic mockups to show you how your brand works in real life and how you can apply it to the materials and channels you need.

AI Usage Policy

AI supports my workflow in specific creative areas like preliminary brainstorming or generating personalized, on brand imagery and mockups that help you see your brand world come to life faster. These tools allow me to explore ideas and create editorial-quality assets without the limits of stock libraries.

AI is never used to develop your brand strategy, creative direction or core brand assets, including logos, color systems, typography, templates or graphics, nor physical assets such as print, merchandise or packaging (except preliminary mockups). These will always be developed & designed by hand through my own expertise and methodology.

AI is simply a tool that helps me visualize and extend what I can create, not replace the decision-making and craftsmanship behind your brand. Your identity remains fully original and human-made.
